LNG trucks and low emission zones

Gas trucks get real advantages in some zones: Crit'Air 1 in every French ZFE, exemption from Austrian IG-L bans for trucks running only on CNG or LNG, free access to Polish clean transport zones and zero toll in Oslo and Trondheim. Choose "LNG / CNG" above to see where your LNG truck can go.

Low emission zones for trucks — frequently asked questions

What does the low emission zone map for trucks show?
The map shows 160 low emission zones, zero-emission zones, diesel bans and environmental toll rings that affect trucks over 3.5 t in 20 European countries. Choose your truck's Euro class and fuel and every zone turns green, amber or red.
Which sticker does a foreign truck need?
Germany needs the green Umweltplakette, France the Crit'Air sticker and Austria its own IG-L sticker (foreign stickers are not valid there). Belgium, London, Krakow, Barcelona and several other cities need an online registration instead of a sticker. The table below lists every country.
Do LNG trucks have an advantage in low emission zones?
Yes, in several countries. In France every gas truck gets Crit'Air 1, Austria exempts trucks running only on CNG/LNG from IG-L bans, Poland always admits natural-gas vehicles and Oslo and Trondheim charge gas trucks no toll. In Dutch zero-emission zones, the UK and Germany the Euro class decides.
How up to date is the information?
Every zone was checked against an official source (city, region, ministry or official gazette) in November 2026. Each zone shows the date it was checked and a link to the official source. Rules change often, so always confirm with the official link before a trip.
Is the low emission zone map free?
Yes. The map is free, needs no sign-up and works in any browser on desktop and mobile.
